Kanan dan kiri
Apalah sebuah arti
Apalah sebuah negri
Saat gila atau sakit
Saat merdeka ataupun sempit
Preman-preman lokal
Kadang cerdas kadang bengal
Bengal dengan ketololan
Dan tolol dengan kefasikan
Sombong dengan kedaerahan
Bodoh dengan kesantunan
Preman bukanlah preman jika santun
Pejabat bukanlah pejabat jika bejat
Atas nama rakyat
Atas nama yang melarat
Keluarga sendiri yang berat
Berat harta dan dunia
Dari hasil jual nama
Atas nama rakyat dan kaum melarat
Dan dilarang kencing disini kecuali Anjing
